Rachel Troup-Roderick, LCSW

Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of professional experience, dedicated to helping individuals achieve emotional wellness and personal growth. She specializes in guiding clients through challenges such as stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Her holistic approach integrates mind, body, and spirit, tailoring treatment plans to each client's unique needs and goals.

Treatment Philosophy
Rachel's supportive personality and compassionate demeanor help clients feel at ease and open up about their concerns. She believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and empathy. Her therapeutic philosophy emphasizes self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience, guiding clients to heal from traumatic experiences and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Rachel values creativity in therapy, often encouraging clients to explore music, drawing, or writing as a means of self-expression. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practices, she empowers clients to uncover their inner strengths and develop positive coping mechanisms. As a trauma-informed therapist, she works with a diverse range of individuals, including first responders, teachers, young adults, LGBTQIA+ community members, and those facing significant life or health changes.

Services Offered
Rachel provides a variety of therapeutic services, including individual therapy, family and couples therapy, group therapy, and support for those navigating substance use challenges. She is well-versed in recovery models like 12-step programs and SMART Recovery and offers case management through referrals when needed. Her extensive training includes modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family systems, EFT, the Gottman Method, Harville Hendrix's approach, and mindfulness-based practices.

A Holistic Perspective
Rachel believes that wellness stems from a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Her clients are encouraged to use insights gained in therapy to make lasting behavioral and cognitive changes. She takes a non-pharmaceutical approach, incorporating mindfulness and meditation to support emotional and physical health.

Free Time
Rachel's passion for life extends beyond her professional work. She finds joy in nature through hiking, swimming, and observing wildlife. A mindfulness practitioner, she prioritizes fitness, including daily walking and gym workouts, and enjoys the serenity of connecting with her dog and family. Rachel is also deeply committed to her community, volunteering with organizations that promote environmental rejuvenation, cultural events, and accessible public resources.

When she's not helping clients or giving back to the community, Rachel enjoys watching documentaries, attending festivals, exploring museums and art fairs, and immersing herself in sci-fi movies and theater. She believes that spirituality provides grounding and strength, helping her navigate life's challenges with grace.

Empowering Change
Rachel's approach is grounded in the belief that everyone is the expert of their own story and possesses innate strengths to overcome challenges. She provides a safe, empowering space for clients to explore their emotions, build resilience, and create a fulfilling, meaningful life. If you're ready to take the first steps toward healing and growth, Rachel is here to support and guide you on your journey.
